Water and Preventive Maintenance Foundation is an introductory course which covers key concepts of water, The course is led by seasoned instructors and technicians with over a decade of expertise in coffee machine maintenance and teaching. Through hands-on guidance using cutting-edge industry models, participants will acquire the skills necessary to adeptly apply their knowledge in their professional environments.

水與預防性維護的基礎課程,是一堂入門課程,含概了水處理系統、咖啡機器的預防性維護及為了安全的實施這些知識所需的相關實務技巧，課程由10年以上專業咖啡機維修技師經驗導師，聯手教學。教學機型大部分為業界最更新機種，學後更能靈活運用於工作中。

Water & Preventive Maintenance Foundation Water & Preventive Maintenance Foundation introduces learners to water treatment systems and the preventive maintenance of coffee machines. At the end of the course, the learner will be able to identify the typical components, function, impact, and maintenance of common water treatment systems; define key water parameters and quality recommendations; measure water composition; describe the goals of a preventive maintenance program; identify components in a traditional espresso machine, batch brewer, and coffee grinder that require preventive maintenance, and demonstrate maintenance tasks with the appropriate tools and supplies.

At the end of the course, the learner will be able to:

• Identify typical components and describe the function of common water treatment systems

• Define key water parameters and describe their potential effects on equipment function

• List water quality recommendations

• Describe expected effects of common water treatment methods on water quality

• Demonstrate measurement of incoming water to determine composition

• Demonstrate common steps for maintaining a water treatment system

• Identify typical wear components in a traditional espresso machine, batch brewer, and coffee grinder

• Describe the goals of a preventive maintenance program

• List the tools and supplies needed to perform preventive maintenance on coffee equipment

• Demonstrate simple preventive maintenance steps for a traditional espresso machine, batch brewer, and coffee grinder
